I chose this program primarily because it provides me with a balanced academic core composed of several disciplines, including economics, international relations and political science, development studies, statistics, and geography - all of which I\'m interested in and find relevant. The second reason, not in any way less important, is that the program pairs excellently with my aspirations to work in international relations or policy making, development, and academia.
